How do I return an item?

We want our customers to be happy with their purchases from Dungeness Kids Co., but if for any reason you are not entirely satisfied with an order, please let us know:

If you would like to exchange or return an item, you may do so within 60 days of the purchase date. If you are local and would prefer, you can return your purchase at our store in Sequim.  If you would like to return your online purchase via mail, see the return instructions below:

Please follow the instructions below when packing and sending your product for return. It's important to note that the instructions below must be followed in order to allow us the opportunity to process your return.

1. Items must be returned, in new, or like-new condition, in its original packaging, with all paperwork including manuals and assembly instructions, and any accessories, as well as any promotional items to ensure full credit.  Any product that is returned without a promotional item(s) that was included with the original transaction (e.g., buy a dollhouse, get a free doll; or buy 3 books, get one free) will have the value of the promotional item deducted from the refund amount.  Shipping costs will not be refunded unless the item is being returned because it is damaged or defective. If you are returning an item because it is damaged or defective please call (360)582-1700 during store hours and one of our associates can help.

2. Pack the item carefully so that it will not be damaged during the shipping process. No credit will be issued for items missing components, parts, original box, packaging material, contents, accessories and/or manuals (i.e., any product not in "like new" and resellable condition).

3. Include your original packing slip or receipt. We will not be able to process a return for any shipment received without a packing slip or receipt.

4. Use a secure shipping method to send the item so that it can be tracked. For example, if you are sending it through the United States Postal Service, please request delivery confirmation. We are not responsible for items lost during shipping, and cannot process your return until the item is received.

Please take care in returning your items. Any item received outside of our return policy will be returned without credit.

Damaged or Defective Products
To return a damaged or defective item, please contact our customer service team by phone or email. Our customer service team will provide you with a prepaid return label and shipping instructions. Once we receive the item and have validated the damage/defect, you will be refunded the price of the item as well as any applicable taxes and shipping costs. Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment used to purchase the item. Please note that in order to receive a refund for the shipping cost of the item, you must contact our customer service team before returning the item to us, and we must be able to validate the damage/defect.

Many of the products that are sold on our website come with a manufacturer's warranty. For additional information on the manufacturer's warranty for a specific product, contact the manufacturer directly.

Recalled Product Return Policy
Nothing is more important than the safety of your children, and we will gladly accept returns on recalled items. If you choose to return your item to Dungeness Kids Co., a refund will be processed to the original method of payment as long as the item is accompanied by a packing slip or receipt. If you choose to return the item to our store, a refund will be processed to the original method of payment if your have your packing slip or receipt, or a gift certificate will be issued if you do not have proof of purchase.

Gift Cards: Gift cards cannot be returned and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Original Sales receipts:  A receipt that has been copied or altered does not serve as an original sales receipt.  A credit card receipt does not serve as an original sales receipt.

Dungeness Kids Co reserves the right to refuse any returns if they do not meet our return requirements.
